Psalms 84

Longing for the Temple Worship.

For the choir director;
Or according to
on the Gittith. A Psalm of the sons of Korah.

1 How lovely are Your bdwelling places,
O Lord of hosts!
2My csoul longed and even yearned for the courts of the Lord;
My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the dliving God.
3The bird also has found a house,
And the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young,
Even Your ealtars, O Lord of hosts,
fMy King and my God.
4How gblessed are those who dwell in Your house!
They are hever praising You.
Selah may mean: Pause, Crescendo or Musical interlude
Selah.

5How blessed is the man whose jstrength is in You,
In
Lit their
whose heart are the lhighways to Zion!
6Passing through the valley of
Probably, Weeping; or Balsam trees
Baca they make it a
Or place of springs
spring;
The oearly rain also covers it with blessings.
7They pgo from strength to strength,
Some ancient versions read The God of gods will be seen in Zion
Every one of them rappears before God in Zion.

8O sLord God of hosts, hear my prayer;
Give ear, O tGod of Jacob! Selah.
9Behold our ushield, O God,
And look upon the face of vYour anointed.
10For wa day in Your courts is better than a thousand outside.
I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God
Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11For the Lord God is xa sun and yshield;
The Lord gives grace and zglory;
aaNo good thing does He withhold
Lit with regard to
from those who walk
Lit with integrity
uprightly.
12O Lord of hosts,
How adblessed is the man who trusts in You!
